April 24th Family Update

Hello Qayqayt Families,

It is hard to believe that it is almost the end of April and 6 weeks since we were physically together as a school.  We miss you all very much!  We want you to know how thankful we are for all you are doing to support your children as we navigate through remote learning and these uncertain times. Thank you for all you do to assist your children with their learning, problem-solving around technology all the while taking care of everyone’s social and emotional needs.

Our goal this coming week continues to be to use remote learning and share our weekly plans with you.  We are continuing to refine our  remote learning skills in order to effectively communicate with  students and families. We are trying to balance remote learning with family needs. Please continue to give us feedback if your children and household are feeling overwhelmed,  we can help adapt the learning to meet everyone’s needs. We want you to know that the learning your children are doing at home is important.

Supporting our families and students continues to be a priority for us.  If your family or children need any support with technology or nutritional needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time especially if your circumstances change.

We wanted you all to know that Tuesday, April 28th is “National Day of Mourning”.  It is a day to remember those workers that have been killed, injured or suffered illness due to workplace hazards and incidents. It is especially important this year to take a moment on Tuesday as we have had many frontline workers fall ill or lost their lives throughout the world this year keeping us safe.

With your ongoing support, we continue to do our best to help your children grow as learners.  We are all in this together and together we will get through this.

Stay Safe!

Karen and Nadia
