Halloween Happenings OCTOBER 2019

Thursday, October 31st  is Halloween and we just wanted to share a few things with you.Students do have permission to wear their Halloween costumes to school on this day.  They are being encouraged to leave accessories (swords, wands, guns, knives, etc.) and masks at home for safety reasons.  Please be aware that even in costume, students will be sent outside to play at recess and lunch so damage and dirt are possibilities. There are not enough personnel to assist students with changing into their costumes later in the day; this is the reason they have to arrive with their costumes on.  However, if you are uncomfortable with your child wearing their costume all day then you can:

  • Send them in regular school clothes (children have been told this is an option)
  • Send them in last year’s costume if it still fits to preserve the quality of this year’s costume
  • Bring your child’s costume at lunchtime and assist your child with changing at that time. (If you choose this option, you must sign in at the office upon your arrival.)

We are having a Halloween Parade for K-3 in the gym first thing in the morning just after announcements/attendance. Parents are welcome to attend.

Happy Halloween!
